As a new semester begins, students everywhere struggle to get back into the swing of things. For myself, it has only been two days into the semester and I am finding it difficult to get back into the school routine. And having now caught a glimpse as to what this semester will bring, I know it’s certainly going to be a busy one. Nonetheless, I keep reminding myself that with each new semester, I am one step closer to graduation.
After being off school for nearly three weeks, and spending the majority of that time at my parent’s house, I’m excited to be back and see all of my friends. My winter break wasn’t very exciting, and though I loved the time I got to spend with my family, I was definitely ready to be back in Edwardsville.
Since it’s the start of a new semester, as well as the start of a new year, I really hope to make the best of everything to come. I managed to pull off a 4.0 last semester, and I’m definitely aiming for that again this semester! I’ve never really set new year’s resolutions, as I feel like they pretty much set you up for disappointment, but I would like to make some small changes that will hopefully better my life.
Well, here’s to a new semester and a new year! I wish the best of luck to students everywhere!
